Moving plays a major role in a child’s physical development. Curious Buddies: Let’s Move is a 30 minute video program, that uses music and puppets to get very young kids from 12 to 36 months of age to act silly and move thier bodies.  The Curious Buddies group includes a cat, a pig, a dog, and the group Noodles, who will sing and dance alongside real images of kids. The images of kids who are either hopping, dancing, clapping, or wiggling can help show  how they strech thier bodies and move, so kids viewing the program will not feel alone while dancing.  The curious buddies is a great program for children of this age to watch because it promotes physical activity and dance. The songs included are familiar songs that kids know, such as:  Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, and Ring Around the Rosy. When teaching stretching activities, the puppet’s animated arms and legs are sometimes hard to see, but toddlers might over look this. The kids who are accompaning the puppet show kids how they are suppose to perform the stretch or dance. The puppets ad color to the program, which is useful in getting the kids excited about excercise.  The different speeds of songs, and dances teach kids how to perform fast and slow movements, which helps with body coordination. Toddlers, who cannot sit still will love moving, dancing, clapping, will have fun let getting loose with to this program.
